Uh, you don't need to miss me; we go to the same school. But I'm doing okay, sure. Are you feeling all right? Just that I've never had someone say they hope my life is amazing before.
It was a great morning when you tried to call your mom and just called several other people instead.
"Did I leave my sunglasses over there? Purple ones. Can't find them anywhere. Get back to me if they turn up." She sighed, and her tone turned softer. "Anyway. Je t'aime. Bye."
"Buy milk. Bread. A half-pound of turkey. Cereal. You know what, just get everything you need for a giant salad.... And some mini-donuts. Chocolate this time, no second-guessing."
He was just trying to dictate his shopping list on his phone! Oh, Fandom.
"... You know, I've never gotten permission to just go ahead and paint things before. Walls, floor, ceiling... I bet I can, like, get spray paint in bulk for that job."
Was Sparkle going to take a wrong number as all the permission he needed to go out painting graffiti sometime this weekend? Hell yes.
"I've never had sex," Yeul said, sounding amused. "So I do not know if I like it or not. Are you certain you meant to ask me out or was this meant for another person?"
Yes, Emma knew it was the phones by now, and no, she didn't care. "If you don't want recreational pharmaceuticals, why are you calling me?" she practically sang. "I don't care that you're a control freak, but you don't need to get preachy about it."
"Hey, schutta," Atton started. Seemed appropriate. "I don't know what you did to me when you put me back together, exactly, but I'm stuck with a little bit of you in my head and it's a pain in the ass."
A brief silence.
"Not that it matters. There's enough spooking around in there, what's one more, right?"
He tapped the console.
"We're going back to Malachor V, to where this all started, where I should've stuck to. Probably not coming back, so... whatever bottles are still laying around my room... they're yours. Shouldn't have been there to buy them anyway. Shouldn't have... Shouldn't have made it back alive... I don't know--"
Cade was another person Envy wasn't sure she'd actually manage to get her small package delivered to but hey, the multiverse was a strange place. If the package did make it through, inside it he'd find a (... possibly useless, given his time) CD copy of The Clash at Demonhead's five-song Underwater Motor Scooter EP.
"Cade, it's Sia," she said, and belatedly wondered if he'd met his Sia yet, and hoped she didn't have to clarify. "There's something I need to talk to you about. In person, if possible." She was still iffy on detailed conversations over the phone, just in case. "I'll be going to Fandom this week, if you have a chance to get there."
Crazy Phone Day

And then, realizing he hadn't actually given Cade his new number, added a profunctory "A" at the end.
